Natural processes have created large pieces of pure copper that "float" free of surrounding rock formations. These unique necklaces are made from copper nuggets sourced near the Ontonagon river and set on copper chains.

Springtime in Michigan Copper Tree Pendant

This necklace features three natural stones from Lake Michigan and the state itself. The pendant is constructed in sterling silver with tube hinges connecting each bezel set stone. At the top of the pendant is a piece of cut and polished Petoskey stone. The middle stone is a type of fossil coral called favosite that is sometimes referred to as Charlevoix Stone for its prevalence along the coast next to the city of Charlevoix (where I collected the piece!).
