I got a great deal on this one time blending of wonderful mill ends from Ashford's beautiful wool lines. Since all their fiber is so nice, and they hate to waste any bit of it, they gather it all up after the various fiber types and dyelots have gone through and run it through their system to blend all the lovely colors and textures together to make this soft and lovely Heather colorway. It includes Natural and dyed Merino, Corriedale, Alpaca, and Silk. The natural colors tone down the bright dyed colors and the dyed colors perk up the natural colors to make a very pleasing, earthy presentation with bits of colors running all through it. it is wonderful for spinning, wet and nuno felting as well as needle felting, even an excellent product for over-dying. The micron is also a mix from their very fine Silks and Alpaca, to their fine (22 micron) Merino and (24 - 25 micron) Corriedale, so it's still a nice soft top. I love earth toned colorways and I honestly think this is my new favorite color blend and I'd LOVE a sweater or blanket made of this!
