Kids & Art’s Amaezying Impact 5522 + ArtKits sent 21 care center partners 28 home states of participants 24 + professional artists 1288 + volunteer hours About Kids & Art Foundation Kids & Art is a 501(c)3 California nonprofit organization supporting pediatric patients with cancer and other critical medical conditions, their siblings, families, and support teams using the power of art and creativity. Kids & Art art programs are offered directly to patient families, as well as through care centers. We work with professional artists to design our art experience, tailoring all projects and workshops to the unique needs and circumstances of children facing serious illness. Our Story, Mission, and Vision Kids & Art Impact Report 2022 How Do We Help? Kids & Art Amaeyzing Programs Participation in artmaking helps ease the stress, anxiety, and trauma endured by children in treatment while also allowing for joy, creativity, and self-expression. All our programs are free for pediatric patient families. Kids & Art is funded through foundation, corporate, and individual support. For Patient Families For Care Centers For Patient Families Amaeyzing ArtKits @Home Our Amaeyzing ArtKits @Home subscription program sends two independent art experiences each month to your home for your child to use wherever and whenever they need creative arts support. Each ArtKit contains all supplies needed and access to a pre-recorded instructional video. Learn More/Sign Up Online Art Experiences Our Online Art Experiences are led by professional artists who guide the participants in creative projects inspired by their own style. Advance signups are required, and all materials needed for art making are mailed to participants ahead of time. View Schedule/Sign Up Destination Workshops Our Destination Workshops allow participants to create in-person in inspiring settings with professional artists, other patients, survivors and siblings. From glass art and painting to working the clay wheel and embroidery, there will be plenty of opportunities for kids to explore their artsy side. View Schedule/Sign Up For Care Centers Amaeyzing ArtKits @Care Centers Our Patient ArtKits are a collection of art projects designed to offer independent art experiences as creative arts support during treatment. Each ArtKit contains all information and supplies needed and access to a pre-recorded instructional video. Monthly delivery of Patient ArtKits to care centers is available to recipients of the Gift of ArtKits Program Grant. More Details Artist-in-Residence Our Artists-in-Residence are arts professionals who come to care centers on a weekly basis to work directly with patients on art experiences during long wait times for doctor appointments, chemotherapy infusions, and blood draws. Artists-in-Residence work 1-on-1 or in small groups in a care center’s waiting area, bedside, or in community spaces. More Details Custom Art Experiences Individualized art experiences that help ease the added stress, anxiety, and trauma a patient is experiencing during treatment. Custom art experiences include 1-on-1 online workshops with a professional artist or family creative sessions where legacy pieces are made for a patient in hospice.ork 1-on-1 or in small groups in a care center’s waiting area, bedside or in community spaces.
